don't drink and drive
Myth: Beer is not as intoxicating as hard liquor.

Fact: Not true. Sure, there is more alcohol in an ounce of liquor than an ounce of beer. However, each of these standard drinks– a 12-ounce bottle of beer, a 5-ounce glass of wine, or a 1 1/2 ounce shot of 80 proof liquor– contains about the same amount of alcohol.

Our History...

AABC Driving school is one of the states oldest and most respected driving schools. In 1971, Elmer Plache established AABC Driving School in both Green Bay and Racine. Tom LaPlante (current owner) joined the company in 1987 after recovering from a motorcycle accident caused by a drunk driver. Tom knows first hand the effects of drinking and driving and the life changing and life ending results it can have. Tom has been invited to share his story in schools in the area, and he shares this personal story with his students.

In 1989, Mr. Plache decided he wanted to focus his attention on the Racine area school and sold the business to Tom's father Howard LaPlante, and his son Tom took over as general manager.

40 years experience

In 1991, Tom opened up a new location on the west side of Green Bay at 712 Gray Street, to better serve west side area students.

In 1999, Howard sold his interest in the business to Tom who has been the driving force behind the ongoing success of AABC Driving School.

Today we continue to teach young drivers to be safe and responsible behind the wheel. We look at ourselves as life coaches, so we take our job very seriously. When it comes to preparing young people for driving on our streets and highways you can not be complacent in your approach either in the classroom or behind the wheel. We love what we do! Drivers education is our passion and the life long driving success of your son or daughter is our top priority.
